People
Resident Tutors - Resident tutors are kind of like proctors, only better! They are available and eager to give academic advice in their area of specialty(ies) and about other aspects of life at Harvard and beyond. coordinate study breaks and other house events, and join students for meals in the dining hall.
Sophomore Advisor
Though you are encouraged to get to know as many resident tutors as possible, one in particular has been assigned to be your official sophomore advisor. You are required to meet with this tutor at least once at the start of each semester and are welcome to consult them as issues arise throughout the year.
Non-resident Tutors
"Non-Res" tutors are graduate students and young professionals affiliated with the house. They offer additional academic and professional advising in fields that are not represented among the resident tutors. Many also organize regular events in the house, such as help sessions, language tables, or public service activities.
Senior Tutor
The equivalent of the dean of the house, the senior tutor is also the advocate for its students as Currier's representative on the Administrative Board. The best thing about senior tutors is that they are not allowed to say "I don't know..." when you ask them a question about Harvard. (They have to say "I'll find out...")
Kate Stanton
Our senior tutor is Kate Stanton (3-7853, cu-abrd@fas), who lives on the lower mezzanine level in Daniels. Stop by her office (located above the Fishbowl) with any type of concern, whether academic or personal, or simply to chat.
Housemasters
Housemasters are senior Harvard faculty members who live in the house exercise overall responsibility for the House community. Our housemasters are Shah and Laura Khoshbin (3-5775, khoshbin@fas), and their daughter's name is Amy. The entrance to their residence is on the Lower Main, between Bingham and Tuchman.

med or pre
law (even just a tiny bit), let Pat know as soon as possible (i.e. now) so she can point you in the right direction. Her office is located above the Fishbowl next to the senior tutor's office. (5-8101, pkeohane@fas)
Manny Casillas, Building Manager

All Currierites are members of the House Committee, which organizes social events for the House and maintains the weight room, video collection, and recreational equipment within the House.
Buddy
A junior or senior in the House has been matched up with you as your buddy. These students have generously volunteered to help out in any way they can as you adjust to life in Currier.
Places
Bell's Desk
Staffed by a team of Currier students, this is the large desk on the right hand side as you enter the main lobby from outside. Come here to get toilet paper, a vacuum cleaner, board games, videos, keys to locked common rooms, and any packages you may receive. On weekends, come here to find out which tutor is 'on duty.'
Fishbowl
The large, open, wood
floored area in the center of the House. In addition to being the best route from the bell's desk into the dining hall, this space is used for House parties, the House musical, and various other Currier events.
Mousehole
The area adjacent to the Fishbowl, located directly under the lobby.
Lower Main
Unusual term that refers to the bottom level of Currier House. The Fishbowl, Dining Hall, reading room, weight room, and entrances to the Daniels and Tuchman are located on the lower main level.
Events
Senior Common Room (SCR)
This confusing term refers not only to the classy room located between Bingham and Tuchman on the lower main level, but also to the tutors, housemasters, and a group of Harvard faculty members affiliated with the house, and to regular dinners and other events open the entire house community.
Stein Club
HoCo runs gatherings usually held on Thursday nights in the Tuchman Living Room. They are a great place get to know other members of the House community.
Open House at the Housemasters
Upscale "study break" hosted about twice a month by Shah and Laura in their residence. ALL Currierites are invited and encouraged to attend.
