Art StudioLocated next to the dance studio at the junction of Bingham and Tuchman in the lower main, the art studio is open to Currier House residents and is host to two Office for the Arts classes. A key may be obtained from the Bell's Desk. top

Bell's DeskThe bell's desk provides toilet paper, vacuum cleaners, packages, board games, keys to the locked common rooms and ping pong, pool, and chess equipment. It also houses the lost and found and the House's enormous video collection. Currier students may check out any of this in exchange for their Harvard ID. (Exchange of ID is not necessary for toilet paper, which need not be returned.) top

Bingham Practice RoomLocated on the first floor of Bingham, this room contains a grand piano, a harpsichord, a collection of sheet music, and several comfortable couches. Book through Joli Wu (3-2014). A key is available at the Bell's Desk. top

ClassroomsThere is one classroom by the stairs in Tuchman lower main and another on the first floor of Bingham. Both seat 15 people and are used by seminars and for studying. Reserve them through Patricia Gnazzo Pepper (5-8100). top

Computer LabCurrier's computer lab houses 2 Macintosh G4s, 2 Macintosh PowerPcs and 4 PCs, all recently updated, as well as a flatbed scanner, a typewriter, a laser printer, and a fax machine. Use of the laser printer (currier1) requires an FAS printing budget. The fax machine (3-1885) may be used by anyone with a telephone PAC. The computer room is in Tuchman lower main, next to the classrooms; the door opens for any Currier ID. top

Dance StudioThe dance studio is located at the juncture of Bingham and Tuchman in the lower main. It features a suspended wooden floor, an upright piano, ballet barres on three walls, and a mirrored fourth wall. Reserve through Patricia Gnazzo Pepper (5-8100). top

Daniels Common RoomLocated on the first floor of Daniels just across from the stairwell, this room contains a TV, VCR, and couches. top

Daniels Practice RoomLocated between Daniels and Gilbert on the lower main, the Daniels Practice Room may be used 24 hours a day and is not locked. top

Darkroom Locatedin the Bingham lower main (closed until further notice). top

Dining HallThe dining hall is where special class, faculty, language table, and event dinners are held, as well as all normal meals. It is a common site for after-hours studying and the occasional late-night poker or chess game. The adjacent alcove is open for Currier resident use. FishbowlThe Fishbowl is used for house-wide parties, dances, meetings, study-card signings, concerts, and theatre. Use of the Fishbowl requires the approval of both Patricia Gnazzo Pepper (5-8100) and the House Committee. Requests for Fishbowl use must be approved two weeks before the scheduled event. top
- Gilbert Living Room Located on the first floor of Gilbert, it contains a full kitchen, an upright piano, large dining tables for 16, and couches. Book through Patricia Gnazzo Pepper (5-8100). top

Gilbert Lower MainCurrier's main recreation area. Along the way to Daniels are the large TV (with cable!!!), a ping pong table, a pool table, a foosball table, video games, vending machines, and condom machine. Ping pong and pool equipment can be obtained at the Bell's Desk. top

LaundryLaundry facilities are in each tower. They are in the lower main in Daniels, and on the fifth floor of the other towers. In the latter laundry rooms, expect washing machines to take an hour rather than the projected 26 minutes, due to the lack of water pressure.Washing machines are one dollar per use, while dryers are seventy-five cents; both can be paid with quarters or Crimson Cash (www.cash.harvard.edu). For laundry drop-off and cleaning, HSA has a linen depot in Tuchman lower main, just across from the dance studio. top

MouseholeTucked under the entrance lobby, the mousehole is the smaller space behind the Fishbowl. It has a grand piano, couches, and a large TV. Reservation of this space requires approval of both Patricia Gnazzo Pepper (5-8100) and the House Committee. top

Poker RoomLocated in the Bingham lower main between the men's and women's bathrooms, this room seats 15-20 people and is used for seminars and for group studying. Reserve through Patricia Gnazzo Pepper (5-8100). top

Reading RoomsThe main reading room is located in Bingham lower main, next to the masters's residence. The reading room, open 24 hours a day, contains Currier's subscription magazines, dictionaries, encyclopedia, and various other books including old sourcebooks. A second reading room is located on the first floor of Tuchman (former vestibule area), and a third on the first floor of Gilbert, opposite the Gilbert Living Room. top

Senior Common RoomUsed for receptions, recitals, and meetings of the SCR. Open to students only when accompanied by an SCR member. The SCR contains two grand pianos used for performances only. SCR dinners are held once a month: all students are encouraged to sign up at the dining hall checker's table and attend. top

SolariaA solarium is located on the top floor of each tower. Each is fitted with a TV, VCR, full kitchen, and couches. They can be used for holding non-alcoholic parties, with a properly filed party form. top

Tuchman Living RoomLocated in Tuchman lower main next to the elevator, the Tuchman living room contains couches, a full kitchen, a wide-screen TV, and a VCR. The TLR is open on weekdays to students with Currier ID cards. On weekends, reserve through Patricia Gnazzo Pepper (5-8100). top

Weight Room and Exercise RoomThe weight room, located in the Tuchman lower main opposite the classrooms, has benches, mats, and free weights. There are also exercise machines in the exercise room, across the hall from the weight room. Both are open to House members only; The weight room is closed from 11pm to 6am. You can get keys for the weight rooms from Patricia Gnazzo Pepper. top
