Amanda Lobell

Allston Burr Resident Dean, Currier House
Assistant Dean Harvard College
(she/her/hers)

As your Resident Dean, I am here to advise and support you on academic and personal matters. I can help you think through decisions that may come up during your time here, including whether and when to study abroad, do research, or take time off.

In addition, I can help you connect with Harvard’s many resources. As Currier students’ representative to the Administrative Board and Honor Council, I also will help you with petitions or requests. Please come see me with any question, concern, or just to talk about what’s on your mind.

In addition to my work at Currier, I am a lecturer in Department of Human Evolutionary Biology. My academic background is in evolutionary genetics and my graduate work focused on reproductive genes in humans and non-human primates.

Before coming to Currier, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health where I studied the genetic basis of Drosophila traits.

I’m originally from New York City, and although Boston has been home for a long time now, I feel like I’ll always be a New Yorker. I am excited to know each of you.
